Food: We pay as we go. With 98%of our birds on a Harrisons diet and our discount, we pay approx. $1000.00 a month just on the Harrisons.
Another $100.00 a month on seeds and then we 'shop around' for sales on fruits and veggies.
Medical Care: Again, we pay as we go.
Our last fatality was a little Love Bird.
We spent over $400.00 in an effort to save her.

As you can see, rescue is costly! Steve and I are commited to these birds.
This page will be updated often. Unfortunately, when most of the birds here are surrendered, the owners feel that they are giving us a 'free' bird. There is no such thing!! When a bird comes to us without toys or a proper cage, it HAS to be provided. The food total above does not reflect fresh fruits and vegetables which is an important part of each birds diet!!
We do not charge a surrender fee as our main concern is for the birds.
Unfortunately, there are people that would actually release a bird rather than pay a fee! Thankfully, they are far and few between. We've elected not to take that chance. Each bird is 'special' and our goal is to help as many as possible, one bird at a time.
